Tag your photos by face.
Search by name.

ObjectTag Pro detects every face in your photo library and writes each person's name directly into the image file — exactly like Google Photos, but running entirely on your own computer with no cloud, no account, and no subscription.

The complete face-tagging loop, looping every 4.5 seconds. Scan line sweeps the photo — three faces are detected — two are named automatically by the AI — the third prompts you once — the name is confirmed and written into the file's metadata. Open that photo in Windows Explorer, Lightroom, or Apple Photos and search by name.
How it works

From an unorganised folder to a searchable library

Four steps — the AI handles most of the work after the first few names.

Step 1
📂
Add your photo folders
Point ObjectTag Pro at your photo library. It scans all sub-folders recursively — no manual sorting needed.
Step 2
🔍
AI detects every face
The on-device AI finds and recognises faces in each photo. High-confidence matches are tagged automatically. Low-confidence faces pause for your review.
Step 3
✏️
You name the faces
For unfamiliar faces, type the person's name once. The AI learns immediately and tags that person automatically in every future scan — no re-training needed.
Step 4
🔎
Search by person in any app
Names are written as XMP and IPTC metadata inside the image file. Search for any name in Windows Explorer, Lightroom, Apple Photos — they all read it.
Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't

🔒
Completely private
Face detection and recognition run entirely on your own hardware. No photos, face data, or names ever leave your machine.
🏷️
Durable, portable tags
Names are written as standard XMP and IPTC metadata — the same format read by Lightroom, Windows Explorer, and dozens of other apps. No proprietary lock-in.
🧠
AI that learns fast
Confirm a face 3–5 times and the AI begins recognising that person across thousands of photos automatically, without asking again.
Batch scan mode
Let the scanner run overnight on your entire library. All uncertain faces go to the Review Queue so you can name them in one focused session.
🖼️
Non-destructive
Your photos are never moved, renamed, or compressed. The only change is the name tag added to existing metadata fields — your file structure stays intact.
💾
Portable face model
Export your entire face database as a ZIP and import it on another PC. Move computers or restore from backup in seconds.
🛡️
Your photos never leave your computer
Google Photos, iCloud, and Amazon Photos process your face data on their servers — your images and biometric information travel over the internet and are stored on someone else's infrastructure. ObjectTag Pro runs its AI model locally, on your CPU. The network cable could be unplugged and it would work identically.
